About Dan

Bio

I have been a professional full-time bodyworker in private practice since 1991. I am very fortunate to totally love my work. I have always been fascinated by how bodies move and feel. Investigating how different people come to move the way they do has given me a rare, rich and useful perspective. Before becoming a bodyworker I worked in construction and performed music.

My personal exploration of the body has been crucial to my professional development. I have extensive experience in biking, swimming, running, skiing, weightlifting, Aikido, Contact Improvisation, Capoeira and Yoga. I have also explored aerial dance, modern dance, ballet, rollerblading, Tai Chi, and Parkour, among others.

I have a professional library of over 100 bodywork texts, which I constantly read and reread, looking for new ways to approach my work. I maintain connections with the global community of bodyworkers, and together we contribute to the growth of our field through discussions of theory and practice. I also expand my knowledge by regularly receiving work from other gifted practitioners.

Teaching is a way I learn more about my favorite subjects, and I enjoy passing on the gifts of my teachers. In addition to teaching public and professional workshops, each individual session I do has an element of education.

When you work with me, you get a dedicated professional with some of the best training available who is constantly developing new work.
